Klaviyo
Connect Klaviyo, see what Goose reads and disconnect it.
Connect Klaviyo so Goose can find gaps in your emails and fix the ones you ask it to. Goose reads your flows, campaigns, lists, segments and email templates next to your ads, sales and brand facts. It changes something only when you ask in your AI app, and it never sends or schedules a campaign.
Each brand connects its own Klaviyo account, and a Klaviyo account connects to one brand at a time.
Connect Klaviyo
- In GooseWorks, open Connections and choose the brand.
- On the Klaviyo card, click Connect, then Continue to Klaviyo.
- Klaviyo opens. Sign in, check that the right Klaviyo account is selected and approve access for GooseWorks.
- Klaviyo sends you back to Connections. The Klaviyo card shows Connected.
You can also start in Klaviyo. Find GooseWorks in Klaviyo's app marketplace and install it. GooseWorks asks you to sign in, then opens Connections with the Klaviyo step ready for the brand you last used. Check the brand, then click Continue to Klaviyo.
What Goose reads
GooseWorks asks Klaviyo for read access to your account, flows, campaigns, lists, segments, metrics, templates, sign-up forms, events, profiles and coupons. With it, Goose reads:
- Account: the account's name, its default sender and its time zone.
- Flows: each flow's status, what starts it, and its steps: the waits and the emails, with each email's subject, sender, status and template.
- Campaigns: each email campaign's audience, and whether it's a draft, scheduled or sent.
- Lists and segments: their names, and which flows each one starts.
- Metrics: their names, so Goose can say which event starts a flow.
- Templates: each email template's name and HTML, so Goose can find unfinished links, like an empty link, # or a test address. Goose doesn't visit links, so it can't tell when a real address stops working.
- Email results: each day's sends, deliveries, opens, clicks, orders, revenue, unsubscribes and spam complaints for every campaign and flow email, going back up to 13 months. Goose reads them again every day.
- Sign-up forms: each form's name, whether it's live, and its views and sign-ups each day.
- List and segment sizes: how many people are in each one today.
- Shoppers who started checkout: for a flow that starts when someone begins checkout, Goose counts the last week's shoppers who agreed to get emails and didn't buy within the flow's first wait, and compares that with how many the flow emailed. Goose keeps only the counts.
The Klaviyo card on Connections shows how many flows, campaigns and lists you have. Click Manage, then Check again, to read them again. When you ask in your AI app, Goose reads the rest there.
To count those shoppers, Goose checks each one's email consent in Klaviyo. It keeps only the counts, never a shopper's email address or phone number.
Find and fix gaps
Ask your AI app something like "Find the gaps in my Klaviyo." Goose lists what it finds, such as a live flow with only one email, a flow that's still a draft, a list that starts no flow, a campaign with no audience or a template with an unfinished link. Then tell it which ones to fix.
GooseWorks asks Klaviyo for write access to flows, campaigns and templates. Goose uses it only for the fixes you ask for:
- Turn a flow on or off. Setting a flow live turns on every email in it, so Goose checks with you first.
- Add an email to a flow. Goose adds a wait and a new email after the step you choose. The new email starts as a draft. In a live flow the wait is live at once, so Goose checks with you first.
- Make or fix a template. Goose makes a new email template, or fixes the unfinished links in one it can edit. Templates built in Klaviyo's drag-and-drop editor are fixed in Klaviyo.
- Make a draft campaign. Goose makes an email campaign for the lists or segments you choose. It stays a draft. You check it and send it in Klaviyo.
- Change who a draft campaign goes to.
Goose never sends or schedules a campaign, and it never deletes anything in Klaviyo. A flow's emails send only once you've said yes to setting it live. After each fix, Goose says what changed and links to it in Klaviyo.
Disconnect Klaviyo
- In GooseWorks, open Connections and choose the brand.
- On the Klaviyo card, click Manage, then Disconnect.
Goose stops reading and changing your Klaviyo account and gives its access back to Klaviyo, which removes GooseWorks from your installed apps there. Goose also deletes the Klaviyo counts it read. You can connect again any time.
You can also remove GooseWorks from the installed apps in your Klaviyo account. The next time Goose reads the account, the Klaviyo card shows Reconnect.
When Klaviyo shows Reconnect
The Klaviyo card shows Reconnect when Goose can no longer read your account, for example after someone removes GooseWorks in Klaviyo. Click Reconnect and approve access again.
If you connected Klaviyo before Goose could fix gaps, Manage asks you to reconnect. The counts on the Klaviyo card still work, but Goose needs the new access to read your whole setup and make changes. Click Reconnect and approve every permission Klaviyo shows.
