Triple Whale

Connect Triple Whale so Goose can read your shop's Triple Whale numbers next to your ads, sales and brand facts. Goose only reads your Triple Whale shop. It never changes anything there.

Each brand connects its own Triple Whale shop, and a shop connects to one brand at a time.

Make an API key in Triple Whale

1. In Triple Whale, open Data, then APIs, and click Generate.
2. Describe it as GooseWorks, and pick the Summary Page: Read and Data Out scopes.
3. Click Generate and copy the key. Triple Whale shows it only once.

The key works only while the person who made it can still open the shop in Triple Whale.

Connect Triple Whale

1. In GooseWorks, open Connections and choose the brand.
2. On the Triple Whale card, click Connect.
3. Type your shop ID. It's the shop-id in your Triple Whale address bar, usually your myshopify.com address.
4. Paste the API key, type your shop's currency (like USD), and click Connect Triple Whale.

Goose reads one recent day to check the key works, and the Triple Whale card shows Connected.

What Goose reads

When you connect and when you click Check again, Goose reads one recent day of your Triple Whale summary and your shop's time zone, to check that it can.

Each day Goose reads your spend, sales, orders and new customer orders for every channel and campaign Triple Whale tracks, using Triple Whale's Triple Attribution model with the lifetime window, plus your store's net sales, orders, new customer orders and refunds. The first read asks for the past 13 months, so Goose can compare with the same weeks last year; how far back it gets depends on your Triple Whale history. Some channels, like Amazon, finish their numbers a few days late. Goose reads those days anyway and refreshes them, and its checks wait for the late days before they judge them.

Disconnect Triple Whale

1. In GooseWorks, open Connections and choose the brand.
2. On the Triple Whale card, click Manage, then Disconnect.

Goose deletes the stored key and the daily numbers it saved. To end the key too, click Revoke next to it in Triple Whale under Data, then APIs. You can connect again any time.

When Triple Whale shows Reconnect

The Triple Whale card shows Reconnect when Triple Whale stops accepting Goose's key, for example after someone revokes it or the person who made it leaves the shop. Make a new key and connect again.
